The Protective Effect of Caffeic acid Phenethyl Ester on Cadmiyum-induced Liver Toxicity: A Histopathological and Biochemical Study

In this study, the changes caused by caffeic acid phenethyl ester (CAPE) in histopathological and biochemical parameters oxidant / antioxidant balance mice with experimental cadmium toxicity were investigated. Plasma paraoxonase (PON) activity, high-density lipoprotein (HDL), low density (LDL), total sialic (TSA), capacity (TAC), (TOC), oxidative stress index (OSI) analyzed on mice’s blood samples. The results showed that intoxication triggered mice. It also lowered their PON activity alongside TAC HDL levels increased TSA, LDL, TOC, OSI levels. examination of liver tissues revealed focal apoptotic regions, sinusoidal occlusion, irregularity group no significant change other groups. These indicated CAPE can significantly prevent due to damage.
